The cardiac sarcolemma fraction was prepared by the method of hypotonic shock combined with treatment with NaJ . Inorganic phosphate (Pi) liberated by ATP splitting was determined by the method of Tausski and Shorr .Enzyme activity was determined as the difference between the amount of Pi liberated in the presence of all three cofactors and of magnesium only.Statistical evaluation was by one-way ANOVA followed by unpaired Student’s t test for Gaussian distributed data, as well as X test for binomially distributed variables.
