New insights into the role of nitric oxide in cardiovascular protection (part 3). ANIMALS AND METHODS

Assays of cyclic nucleotide levels in endothelial cells and in rat aorta: Cyclic nucleotide levels were determined by radioimmunoassay in confluent cultured bovine aortic endothelial cells (BAEC) and in rat aorta treated for 5 mins with phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors in the presence of 10 |J.M indomethacin with or without nitric oxide modulators.
